The best thing you can do for yourself is to ask questions. Do you know Jesus as your Savior? If not, ask yourself why. Better yet, ask God why not. And then be still and listen for His voice. He will never command you, or demand you, but He will whisper and send angels your way. Because He is always drawing His children near. Unfortunately we live in a world that keeps us so busy and preoccupied, a world filled with so much noise, that often His voice goes unheard and unnoticed.
Can you imagine How that makes the Creator feel? Everything you have, He has given to you, and yet you don’t even see Him, let alone thank Him.
And to the Christian, Is God in your back seat, readily available when you are in time of need? Or is He at your breakfast table and dinner table, is He next to you on the couch as you read and watch a movie. Is He a part of your everyday, every thought, every decision? If not, why not? Do we think we could possibly make better choices for ourselves then our heavenly Father would have us to make?
Too many churches have fallen to the wayside of the world and no longer serve as the church of God. I am going to be so bold as to say that it is the churches fault that our country and our world is in the state that it is in. The church is listening to man and the world and leaving God and the Holy Spirit out. How did this ever come to be??
This, of course, isn’t true with every church. For I have been blessed to find a church filled with the will of God, the Holy Spirit and Biblical teaching, and that is the reason why I know my heavenly Father today.
If you don’t know the Savior, start asking questions and He will answer you.
Matthew 7:7 – Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.
If you do know the Savior, never stop drawing near to Him
John 15:4 – “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”
