You can’t misinterpret the words of the President. It’s a direct quote. Furthermore its unconstitutional.
Take the guns first, go through due process second. -Donald Trump
This comment alone goes to show just how out of touch this man is when it comes to our constitution and bill of rights.
A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government. – George Washington
If Donald Trump succeeds in doing everything he talked about in the meeting, he will make Barack Obama’s attacks on the Second Amendment look innocent.
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms, disarm only those who are neither inclined, nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. – Thomas Jefferson, 1764
Per the Times, Trump repeatedly suggested that the dynamics surrounding the gun control debate had shifted, in part, because of his presence in the Oval Office – a remark that earned him cheers from Democrats.
How many more laws can they really jam up our throats? It is already way beyond out of control.
We have to be vigilant and mindful of the rhetoric that comes from those in office. Just because we voted for them or line ourselves up with thier political party should never make us loyal slaves.
Always remember our rights come from God, not the establishments.
Remember it’s we the people.
