A Metro-North train carrying hundreds of commuters has burst into flames after crashing into a car just outside New York during rush hour – with several people feared dead, it has emerged.
The train, which was running northbound on the Harlem line, smashed into the vehicle as it was traveling through Valhalla in Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday.
Eyewitness have reportedly ‘talk of multiple fatalities’ in the front car of train. However, no deaths nor injuries have yet been reported by It unknown why the car was on the tracks.
