YONKERS, N.Y. — Police say an officer kept a teenager from being hit by a car as the youth walked along a suburban New York highway, but the officer ended up being hit himself.

Westchester County police say Officer Paul DeSousa was treated and released from a hospital after the rescue Friday morning.
