Often times Christians will reject the notion that the Church needs to repent of her apathy regarding abortion. Many Christians take great offense to the abolitonist project, Church Repent. Is it unbiblical for faithful Christians to stand outside the church building with signs and literature, pleading with other Christians to love their preborn neighbor? Abolitionist Mike Gulley engages his Christian community often through the Church Repent project. He will be joining us today live to discuss this method of spurring Christians on to love and good works.

This use of the phrase “the church” is an abomination. The ancient texts use the word “ecclesia”. It’s an ancient Koine word for “people” or “congregation”. It does in no way translate into “church”. Jesus taught vehemently AGAINST churches, sects, divisions, denominations, dissentions, and any other straying from “the one true faith” he taught for 3.5 years. It was the CHRISTIAN CONGRAGATION, not a church that he began. All of them were holy spirit annointed shortly after Jesus’ death, and thousands more were so annointed. THEY were the congregation, the annointed. That annointing stopped with the death of John, on Patmos, a penal island. “Knowledge” (giving of holy spirit), STOPPED then, as God said. But the teachings against churches, clergy, and sects continues in the inspired word of God. There IS NO CHURCH as you use the term. ANY entity calling itself a “religion”, after Jesus’ death, is false religion, works of the flesh. Opposition to God.
